While Full Circle Earth (FCE) is unable to offer internships at this time, we will work with students and their professors to create a meaningful and productive independent study project. Our focus would most closely align with students whose studies include environmental science, botany, soil science, horticulture, entomology, agronomy, plant pathology, special education, social work, counseling, or marketing Of course we are happy to discuss projects with students that are pursuing other majors as well.
Here are just some independent project suggestions:

Here are just some independent project suggestions:
- Environmental Impact | At FCE, our mission includes educating the community about the harmful effects of pesticides and chemical fertilizers on the environment and offering alternatives. You could prepare a presentation that we could use with our advocacy group in order to have these dangerous materials banned from public spaces such as parks and schools.
- Native and Non-Invasive Gardening | Putting the right plant in the right place helps reduce the need to add extra fertilizers and herbicides while reducing water waste. You could prepare a "how-to" brochure to offer homeowners a guide to what plants should be used in New England and how to remove invasive species from our gardens.
- Insects in the Garden | Chemicals in the gardens have decimated pollinators and polluted the soil. You could prepare materials that would illustrate the beneficial insects in the garden and offer non-toxic solutions for pest control.
- Gardening with Altered Abilities | People of all walks of life find benefits from gardening and being out in the natural environment. You could help us design accessible gardens or develop tools to assist adults with altered abilities to learn how to care for the plants organically.
- Community Outreach | There are many organizations that are working on similar projects as FCE. You could develop a directory of these local organizations and put together materials we could provide these groups in order to build partnerships that will assist us in achieving our mission.
- Marketing | We are constantly looking for opportunities to expand our outreach, engage volunteers, and improve our fund-raising. You could develop a plan to improve our social media, drive membership and make us more visible within our communities.
