The mission of Full Circle Earth emphasizes the importance of engaging community members in the health of their local environment as a way to promote inclusion and equity for all people. When community members interact directly with their environment, they are more invested in environmental health and sustainability. This allows not only the land to thrive, but also increases the health of the community. Our community outreach and engagement is conducted in the form of events with a focus on simultaneously improving the health of community members and the land that we depend on. These events include sessions of walking groups through local trails, drum circles in the summer evenings, tabling at local farmer's markets, and creating community demonstration sites. These events engage members of the surrounding community including schools, community organizations, private citizens, and special needs groups.
This year, Full Circle Earth is installing a COMMUNITY DEMONSTRATION GARDEN and is looking for future sites to build. These gardens will be planted with permaculture principles featuring native and non-invasive plants. The sites will afford community residents the opportunity to see the benefits of organic gardening while encouraging pollinators.
